Monday Rundown...

So it's Monday..yet again! No complaints though because that just means that I've been blessed with another day to get it right.

So here's a rundown on what's been going on with me and what's on my mind (in no particular order of course):

- Grad school is starting to take its toll on me mentally, but I know it'll all be worth it in the end. The way I look at it is I want to have all my "papers" before I start really establishing myself so I can hit the ground running and not have to worry about furthering my education. Granted, learning is an on going experience, but I want to have the biggies out the way. After I finish my MBA program I'm thinking about going ahead and getting my Masters in Counseling Psychology while I'm at it. Psychology is my first love so why not?! I hear entirely too many stories about people taking breaks and never going back so I want to get it out of the way while I'm still in school mode. Plus when I settle down and have a family one day, getting my degrees is one less thing I'll have to worry about.

- I watched the 60 Minutes show with Barack and Michelle last night and it was so inspiring . Don't you love how the Obama's and I are on a first name basis! In a nutshell, after watching that I think most men now aspire to have their version of Michelle and women want their Barack. A post is in the works about that!

- Thanksgiving is soon approaching and I put in all my orders with the chefs in the family. I have requested that my step mom make mac and cheese and that my dad make his famous banana pudding. I can't wait! I looveee food, I'm convinced I'm a fat lady trapped in a thin girls body...no complaints.

- The weather is getting cold, but as long as the sun is shining and there is no snow on the ground then I'm good.

- My dad is turning 60 next week! I can't believe his AARP status mainly because he looks like he's 30. I will gladly accept those genes.

That's it for now, I promise a more awe inspiring post is coming soon so stay tuned! What's your biggest goal for this week?

Biggest goal for this week? Completing Memo 3 for Research & Writing, Outlining the 4th, 5th and 6th amendments for Criminal Procedure and getting through Civil Procedure II without strangling someone.

I know, exciting, right? But I've got finals in 3 weeks so it's crunch time.

Grad school...I know it gets mentally taxing(chile I know I know) but it's so worth it and I'm so glad that you realize just how much! I'm so proud of you getting your MA as well! I agree w/ you..I'm trying to get as much schooling out of the way so that when I finally grow up(HA) I'll be on a higher plateau.

You are correct. Men are realizing the value of a GOOD woman in every sense of the word. I would absolutely love to meet my 'Barack'.

Chile, I can't WAIT till Turkey Day. I just got the call that it's at my house this year. FAINT! So much to do, so little time.

Yayyyyyy congrats to your Dad on turning 60. You know good black don't crack. I look at each birthday as a blessing for being able to see another year.

My biggest goal for this week is to make MAJOR headway in re: my organizational skills and to STUDY for my FINAL on Wed. night.
