In Due Time....

It's been awhile, my bad! A lot has been going on and blogging was put on the back burner, but I'm still here. Before I get into it, here's a rundown of some exciting new things that are going on in my world:

- My first published article for a magazine (not a blog site) will hit the market on March 18th. I got the chance to interview a really great music group with high energy and it was a fantastic experience. I'll give more details when it hits the street.

- Still in grad school, reading and writing my life away. Maintaining that 4.0 so I guess everything is good there.

- Been making a lot of decisions lately...trying not to let my "right now" mentality get the best of me.

Today I just want to give you encouragement that everything will come in due time. Whether you are trying to find a place to work, want to relocate, or looking for "the one" don't give up hope because if you want it bad enough then it will happen. That's not to say that you can sit back and hang out all day without making moves of course. Our destiny is in our hands. The decisions we make directly affect where we are going and the outcome of our futures. When something goes wrong, we have no one but ourselves to blame and the same principle holds true for when things go well. We are in full control, not in a compulsive way, but in such a way that makes us the captain of out future. Whatever you want out of life, make it happen instead of waiting on someone else to make it happen for you. Just remember that we all have our goals, but don't let the finish line distract the journey. Embrace the process, it'll make the reward that much sweeter.

"I have seen something else under the sun:
The race is not to the swift
or the battle to the strong,
nor does food come to the wise
or wealth to the brilliant
or favor to the learned;
but time and chance happen to them all." ~Ecc. 9:11
